you don’t need rehab to quit facebook
May 18, 2010
may 31st is quit facebook day which means that a handful of people are committed to quitting facebook at the same time. with the recent announcement of their new like button the concern of privacy grows like wild fire. yes, they are watching you pee in the shower.
according to facebakers there are over 122 million people on facebook in the us alone. so if i do my math correct facebook will loose .000032% of their domestic users. gasp!
while i satirize the low impact this revolution is going to make i still support it and i think many will follow suit as facebook tightens it’s grip on your genitals.

When it comes to facebook and their privacy, instead of complaining about it and threatening to delete my account (but not actually doing it because we’re all too addicted and attached to facebook to really do it), I just don’t put anything on there that I wouldn’t want someone else in the world seeing. After all, facebook is located in a public place called the Internet(s).
I think people just like to have something to complain about.

Agreed, Adam! FB isn’t hurt by 4000 people closing their accounts. Sheesh.
