channing frye recently was asked by espn what he carries with him everywhere he goes on the road. his response was his bible. the dude before him said condoms – nice and classy.

i have mad respect for this dude and i love that he takes me serious with all of my conspiracy theories. he brought to my attention that in most of the end of the world movies the presidents are black. *gulp.

I never really understood the hotel bible thing. It seems like if you were really serious about reading the bible you would bring your own. Must have something to do with guilting people into not thrashing their room.

My favorite travel item has to be my Ex Officio boxer drawers. Its not a big deal if you are on quick NBA charter flights but when you are on a 12 hour overseas flight in coach with a 2 hour layover and another 4 hour flight without being able to change your clothes some good underwear are pretty key. I won’t describe the alternative but its called swamp butt.

Channing is a great dude. Definitely my favorite non-Blazer in the NBA. I hope to see him around town this summer and tell him that we miss him here in pdx! But on the other hand, he is having great success (not meant to be said like Borat) in Phoenix and I’m happy for him in that regard. An interesting side note, a girl I went to high school with is engaged to a guy who is Channing’s wife’s cousin.
