the clandestine rise of dubstep

i recently purchased an album called more than alot by a couple of guys named chase and status – it is a drum and bass album but it also features a new genre called dub step which is like this slow half time beat with an overbearing bassline lead. i absolutely fucking love it. from the research i have done it sounds like chase and status has had a big role in pushing this style out… these dudes inspire me.
