i started watching this thinking it was going to be sorta dumb. but then i realized it had an impact on me when i watched it 4 more times. when this thing busts out the extended yell at the :31 mark – i laugh every time.

i also thought about how whoever owns this bird must have played this song quite a few times for that thing to be so into it. they eventually probably wore out on the song at one point then regretted playing it because now their bird sings it every time someone enters the room. imagine that when meeting you girlfriends mom for the first time over at your place.

i’m karl… don’t mind the bird. i love your daughter.

i remember when the media was saying that this song was deemed inappropriate since the hype and lyrics of the song coexisted at the same time as 9/11 – so they encouraged their stations to remove it:

it was off the air for like a month after and then it came back so we could all enjoy it’s uplifting lyrics. even your parrot and your new mother in-law.

this was one of the most exciting videos i think i have seen since that dude that did that deep dive into that sink hole.

a dad and his boys worked on this project for 8 months and built an experiment to send a weather balloon as high as it would go with a video camera attached. they also included an iphone so they could located the craft via gps when it landed. i was shocked how peaceful the footage is at 100k feet. soooo coool.

this is why i don’t like going on deep sea adventures anymore. after helping recover titanic wreckage with a snorkel and pair of fins i was done. it’s too cold 2 miles down at the bottom of the ocean. dumb.

i remember when they first caught this footage of this giant squid in japan. i think they ended up catching it and killing it. last year they discovered the oldest known animal alive and they accidentally killed it upon the discovery. humans rule! america!

today was the first time in 4 years there was thunder and lightening on my way to work.

never been a fan. in fact it one of my few fears. whenever i mention that to people they always take it upon themselves to boast how much they love it. clockwork.

i have seen quite a few of these water blob clips online. but this one is my favorite to date.

this little chicklet goes flying. and you can tell by her movements in the air and the look on her face when she pops out of the water that she is full of straight terror.

this is my friend channing’s dog and i have had the chance to watch this guy grown up from a small puppy. he keeps getting fatter and his eyes keep drifting farther apart.

looking at him will make even a cold hearted bitch force a tight lipped grin.

he might be part deer.

autopilot mario

i like mario. who doesn’t? i have an emulator on my macbook pro that allows me to play super nes games with a snes controller. dork alert – i know.

well in super mario world there is a counter that keeps track of how much of the game you have completed. i played every level i could find but there was one that i could not beat for the life of me. i almost started to believe that it was not possible. so someone found out the trick to the level and that is to put down your controller and put mario on autopilot.

you mean, i can beat the hardest level in the game and make a couple of phone calls at the same time. holy shit neato! knowing my ADHD i will probably still pick up the controller and derail the show.
