Benjamin Cavanagh Diggles

I am the Senior Manager Web Marketing at Webtrends. I am 29, happily married + living in Portland, Oregon. I don't have many reasons for keeping this blog. I tend to talk about emerging web culture + how ridiculous the media is but the majority of this site consists of stuff that makes me smile. find archives here

I fear neckties + 2012 + I have mild OCD but I will always post, so please come back or subscribe to my rss feed. Feel free to leave a comment + not be an asshole. Relax, none of this means a thing.
If you want to contact me, leave a comment + I may or may not get back to you. It is what it is. Oh yeah, I am not a copywriter so please excuse mispellsings.

Posted: February 23, 2010

this is wild. for some reason i remember seeing this at one point however my friend brino recently sent it to me and i was floored. it is nuts to hear donald duck constantly repeat hail hitler! – there is a wiki article here if you want to see what it is all about.

this literally brought me to tears

Posted: October 26, 2008

i wasn’t really sure why at first. i watched it like 10 times before i realized that it reminded me of being a kid and attempting ridiculous things and the pure joy that was experienced when they actually worked.
naturally my memories are not that of rerouting speed trains but more of tying two bottle [...]

oh shit, the news has gone 2.0

Posted: August 17, 2008

not sure if anyone has noticed lately but the news/media is starting to allow for comments and other social outlets. not just local either. bbc has social bookmarking icons while cnn has twitter support.
naturally most of them you have to either sign up an account to participate or you have to be moderated in which [...]

joshua hoffine // childhood fears

Posted: June 8, 2008

this is best explained by the copy on his site:
i stage my photo shoots like small movies, with sets, costumes, elaborate props, fog machines and special effects make-up. i use hotlights rather than strobes, because they give me better fog effects as well as a warmer color shift. my images are not photoshop collages. i [...]

Posted: April 19, 2008

this story is nuts. some dude goes out for a smoke break one night and the elevator gets stuck. he is then stuck for 41 hours. a camera catches the entire thing and for some reason it kind of stressed me out to watch.
i have mentioned this story to quite a few people and everyone [...]

world clock

Posted: March 20, 2008

not sure if this is fascinating or depressing. this nifty online gadget shows real time accurate worldwide statistics and calculations based on credible (and listed) sources.
i find it interesting that there is an emphasis on death – but then again we all want to see a car accident. the two sections that shocked me the [...]

Posted: March 18, 2008

need i say more?!? i figured after that last post i would brighten things up a bit with a fantastic discovery.
i figured i could explain the article or simply swoon you with this quote from the story:
This is the closest many people will ever get to seeing what large parts of a dinosaur actually looked [...]
