my new creative vado hd

tracy got this little gadget for me for x-mas so i can start to capture more video… especially when something extremely interesting or magical takes place.

take the video above for example. this was taken at about 10pm last night in north portland. i thought it was so magical that i decided to hire a guy who works for pixar to add a special effect of a shooting star. watch closely and see if you notice it.

the camera is cool. it is fairly small and is meant to be a simple grab and go. it has essentially no features other than capturing moments on video. it is said to be HD but i don’t even really know what that means. yes they say it’s high definition but i doubt horhe lucas is going to call to ask to borrow my vado anytime soon.

it is a gadget that will be outdated in about 8 months but if i get used to using it i will carry it until it breaks. there is an underwater case you can get for like $30 and it is on my list. you can learn more about these things at myvado.com

i can’t promise i am going to push out more video – i know very little about video shit. it seems every time i decide to get started on some simple editing i have to encode my files like 3 times. i’m a n00b.

Ha, you must live or work near there, huh? I remember seeing a picture you posted recently that was taken near that max train stop, too. I drive by there every day for work, and don’t live too far down the road.

I’ve never seen a shooting star at that location, though… I’ll have to be more aware.

I am the only one that thought, “Uh, what a perfect ‘toilet cam’”, when reading this post? I mean, small size – check; waterproof case – check; High def – check. Not that I’d ever want to do that, you know, but, you see where I’m going. Know what I mean? You know what I mean? Catchin’ my drift. I’m thinking – peepeeinhd.com? I’ll see if it’s available.

Glad you like your new toy. That wife of yours if GOOD! (Fun to get ours guys cool stuff, huh Tracy? For my husband it usually involves something with the word NIKE on it.)

Silly goose, from what I can see…. it looks like the reflection of the lights on the car pulling up. Am I totally a ditz and just figured that out or did I ruin the whole thing? Ahhh…

yo diggles, the oregon zoo has free admission Monday, in case you wanted to try out your camera there….are you thinking what i’m thinking? RHINO HUMPING! hells yeahhhh!
