my first corporate job
February 27, 2008
my first real job was at a place called abtech. i won’t go into too much depth of why it was totally dorky for the sake of pissing people off.
i will say this. i had just turned 23 and i had no idea what the hell i was doing. i was a sales consultant that would walk into small to medium sized businesses, assess their network needs, then sell them on an upgrade package to bring them up to speed. we would then deploy in house engineers that would come in and install and optimize the equipment.
i will always be thankful that they gave me the opportunity but now that i help run a company i look back and cringe. i guess the best word to use would be dated
. i snagged this graph from their website since it always brings a smile to my face. i still have no idea what it means – and at the time, no one in house could explain it to me either.

oh yeah, i kept my business card too. the logo reminds me of a lesbian mercenary group that uses mostly up to date science to solve world issues. maybe mercenary doesn’t make sense. shit…

I have no idea what you’re talking about… Now I feel dated.
