today, according to web bot and other sources, there is supposed to be some sort of shift or event in the world. naturally being interested in this i started to pull a few things together i thought were interesting to look at. i know this violates my goal of quitting the news but today i had to look around.

ufo sighted: chinese airport shuts down – july 10th

A Chinese airport was closed after this mysterious object was spotted in the sky.

Arcing over Zhejiang’s provincial capital Hangzhou, the UFO appeared to glow with an eerie white light and left a bright trail in its wake.

Xiaoshan Airport was closed after the UFO was detected at around 9 pm and dozens of flights had to be diverted.

despite the amount of people who witnessed this and the airport closing, this story was not to be found on any of the major news sites:

solar eclipse of july 11, 2010

we are to have a solar eclipse today that will last at maximum coverage for 5 minutes and 20 seconds. the part that is the most interesting about this event today is that it will pass over easter island.

bp to install new cap on well

bp will be removing an existing cap, which will make the oil leak temporarily worse, in order to attempt to put a new cap on. this peak amount of oil being released will be in line with the solar eclipse. while i tend to sound like i know what removing and replacing a cap means, i have no idea. none of us do. you can read the story here

2010 fifa world cup final

and yes, as you know, today is the 2010 world cup final. a lot of eyes and energy is being focused on this event. read the details on the event on wikipedia

i am not saying any of this means anything but i will be watching as the day goes by. it’s good to pay attention.

update! – ian mitchell just informed me that today is also free slurpee day. 7-11-duh.

uganda bomb attacks during cup final

update – as tacky as it is that this comes directly after the free slurpee there was in fact an attack today. 9 74 people were killed and details are still being sorted out. you can read the story here

Hey, you forgot about the Carrier USS George Washington steaming towards South Korea.
And the brinksmanship being played out between Israel and Iran and its new bedpartner the slowly radicalized Turkey.
The 11th was a hint of whats to come on the period of Nov 8th-11th.
Maybe E.T. will land at that Chinese airport in Nov of 2010.
The Chinese did not scramble any jet fighters to intercept, so maybe E.T. was testing their intent.
We have been stupid enough to scramble fighter jets to intercept, like a caveman throwing a broken stick at one of our F-18 fighter jets.
E.T. landing would BE A BIG TIPPING POINT THAT WOULD HAVE THE FAR FLUNG RESULTS THAT THE WEB BOT PREDICT.
I think that humanity is in a negative mode and had blown chances of ultimate world peace-think fall of the Soviet Union-that it is easy to see why they go with the WWIII schenario (sp?)
