Bacon

i can’t flail my arms around enough to express the joy this website brought me… and when i discovered it was from portland my wife had to bust out the smelling salts. it is called bacn.com and all they sell is, well, bacon. but that’s not all folks! we are talking all kinds of bacon. i don’t fancy myself as a bacon snob but there are times when i go to the store and want some selection and all there is to pick from is the same bullshit but just different brands. when it comes to selection, bacn.com has done it right!

Bacon

i wish there were more sites like this that did one thing really, really well. i mean, look at the website and how clean and meaningful it is – unlike yahoo.com. now i know you are wondering the same thing i was – but how the hell do you ship bacon? – well my friend david bought some and said that it was packed with some ice packs in a surprisingly efficient and appealing manner. enough said dave – i just purchased some bacon for myself. the stimulus variety pack to be exact.

Bacon

while on my web meat binge i found another website that specializes in web-to-door meat (i just made that phrase up). although it was far from the visual appeal bacn.com had, it dominated in selection of meats. however, even though they had some of the most rare meats i have ever heard of, there was limited bacon. it is called 800-exoticmeats.com – don’t worry it is not a pr0n site.

on this site you can find some of the rarest meats in the world and have them delivered directly to your door step. kinda makes all that hunting training on the oregon trail as a kid worthless. here is a picture of a 16oz kobe beef steak from japan for $149.99 – and that is not the most expensive item i found.

Kobe Meat

the exotic meat site has this section called exotic meat sampler where you can get a little pack of various delectable species to gobble up at your leisure. it is worth checking out. i would understand if vegetarians aren’t into this – i mean duh. but! i have met many of vegetarians that make exceptions for bacon since it is so good. saying you don’t like bacon is like saying you are an atheiest – quit fighting the truth people. iguana on the other hand i can understand.

here are some of the more interesting meats you can purchase at the exotic meat site, some of which i question underlying legalities:

  • Alligator Meat
  • Bontebok Meat
  • Capon
  • Chukar Partridge
  • Crocodile Meat
  • Eland Meat
  • Foie Gras
  • Frog Legs
  • Guinea Pig Meat
  • Gemsbok Meat
  • Iguana Meat
  • mpala Meat
  • Kangaroo
  • Kurobuta Pork
  • Kudu Meat
  • Lion Meat
  • Python Meat
  • Rattle Snake Meat
  • Reindeer Meat
  • Swan Meat
  • Turtle Meat
  • Zebra Meat

what do you want to eat tonight honey? lion or guinea pig?

happy monday internet world. meat your heart out!!!!!1

Ben, as per usual, you brighten a dark day with your tales of exotic meat!

“Lion meat to be a much better quality cat meat than Tiger meat.”

Well duh, everyone knows that, tigers are too lean and stringy! If anyone wants to go in on it with me, we can get 10lbs of lion meat for only 2k! Think of the wonderful BBQ we could have with that, plus I hear if you eat lion you gain special powers.

I saw the founder of bac’n speak last week at some business seminar luncheon thing… this is a prime example of an old industry in need of rebirth. There are ton of bacon manufacturers out there, but only about 1% have a presence online… the guy mentioned how excited he was to get his hands on a 4 letter URL.

i’m actually not a fan of bacon. i *might* still dig it on a BLT, but other than that, no thanks. i have had alligator though, and it’s pretty good.

Ah shucks… Thanks Mr. Diggles. We’re super excited you found our site, and so glad you enjoyed it. We’re pretty excited ourselves. I usually run around flailing my arms after I’ve had some of this stuff. It’s pretty frickin’ good. And just wait, we have some AMAZING stuff coming in the next few days that will make the back of your knees itch it’s so good.

Also, well be talking at Webvisions about how we started bacn.com in 21 days from idea to launch. If you’re going to be there, make sure you come by and say hi.
