dumb guy

a computer specialist put up a simple text advertisement on the internet offering downloads of a computer virus for people who did not have any. this was part of a 6 month advertising study and the results? within that 6 months there were 409 people that clicked on the ad that said is your pc virus-free? get it infected here!

i guess i wasn’t entirely surprised. there are some really dumb and confused people out there which i why i believe spam still exists. if it didn’t work then it would have been gone a long time ago.

i have become a big fan of the website tv-links.co.uk which will blow your mind. the funny thing is that they have minimal ads (which i love) but they are potent. i have found they are usually one of two. the first one, which is the most annoying, auto-plays some chick saying congratulations! you have been selected to receive two free ipod nanos! which i think the use of the word selected is comedy. and the second is panning images of celebrity body shots with enticing call-outs like see jessica albas wardrobe malfunction. the conundrum: how do i wear two ipod nanos while i watch jessica do her thing?!?

yes these are the thoughts of people like the guy in the picture above. the spam + virus angels if you will.

why are you not capitalizing. are you angry with the shift key?
