happy 1234567890 day – celebrate in style
Posted: February 13, 2009
i found this on a site that had the top ten coolest hacked mario levels and for some reason this one appealed to me the most. i love super mario world but this is bonkers. it is worth checking out but i can’t blame you if you decide to leave before it is finished… since it is 11 minutes long. damn.
in other news…
just when you didn’t think i could be more of a nerd i decided to draw attention to 1234567890 Day which is something that people are actually celebrating. i do admit… i will have a moment of silence and a shot of tequilla. we all need excuses. unix time is explained below by good old wikipedia…
Unix time, or POSIX time, is a system for describing points in time, defined as the number of seconds elapsed since midnight Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) of January 1, 1970, not counting leap seconds. It is widely used not only on Unix-like operating systems but also in many other computing systems. It is neither a linear representation of time nor a true representation of UTC (though it is frequently mistaken for both) as the times it represents are UTC but it has no way of representing UTC leap seconds (e.g. 1998-12-31 23:59:60).

happy friday the 13th internet world! see, i went the whole post without mentioning how i think the entire story about the plan hitting the house is bull shit. [insert pat on the back here?]

Happy 1234567890!

I have a couple of mrdiggles.com requests. 1) It would be nice if when we clicked on a link that it opened in a new tab instead of navigating away. 2) It would be nice to have a place to comment on what your “God forsaken cell phone” says. What if I have something witty to add? Hey, it could happen…

Wow, that’s awesome. I’ll be sitting in front of my computer watching the unix time hit 1234567890 at this website (http://coolepochcountdown.com/), and that gives me a good excuse to drink one of my good beers in celebration.

I just watched that whole Mario World thing. That was amazing! It must have taken a lot on nerds to do that.

Hahaha, you crack me up Diggles. I love your blog so I’ll keep participatin’. I do have a friend who wants to be a free mason so I won’t tell him about your site.
Off topic (is there a topic?), a girl I went to high school with recently told me that her boyfriend’s cousin is Channing’s fiance. I think Lauren is her name? Thought that was kind of cool. Small world.

Umm, no pat on the back from me! I want to know why you think it’s bullshit… Who else is gonna keep me in the conspiracy loop?

Hey, so I’m definitely showing now enough to where people think I’m due soon, but I wouldn’t say I’m HUGE yet. Give me another 3 months and I’ll send you a picture that’ll scare you.
