Greg Oden's Shoe

this weekend channing, brino and i went to the blazers training facility. while channing got his ankle worked on, brian and i goofed around and talked big ideas. it was my first time going to the facility and i geeked out. even though i am not into sports in the slightest it was cool to see the behind the scenes where these dudes get pumped up. i asked a ton of questions to channing and the trainer which included why does a multi-vitamin have over 100% of what you need of certain vitamins if you only need 100% a day? – hard hitters really.

anyways, while we were hanging out i caught a glimpse of greg oden’s shoe and i had to get a pic. it was by far the biggest shoe out of everyone on the team. brian grabbed his iphone and took the gem above. it was a size 18 which is only 1 and a half sizes larger than mine.

it has been great hanging out with channing this last year and being exposed to a whole world i know very little about. i am constantly joking with him about how he needs to talk to the coach by leaving notes lying around that say stuff like this:

i also had to post this image below. i rarely post images of myself hammered but this one is too funny. i look like the semi-slow friend that was invited for charity’s sake. i don’t know what i like more, the fact that i look photo-shopped in the picture or that this picture was featured on napkin nights. this is one of those perfectly ruined pictures.

the trainer dude said that they put more than 100% to convince people that it is way better than regular pills (competitors) – when in fact it is not and in some cases it is damaging to your guts. gut shots.

Haha, that picture is hilarious.

And I’m jealous that you are friends with Channing and get to go to the practice facility. I’m a huge Blazer fan, I wish I could do that! Then you rub it in my face by acting all cool like it’s no big deal. I’d probably be acting like a 4 year old on Christmas. How’d you meet Channing, anyway?

thanks for the props adam. i met channing through his gf. we ended up hitting it off since he is a nerd. he won’t admit it, but he is.

if he were the typical hot headed sports star we wouldn’t mesh. the picture above is very telling of that.
