google unveils a new web browser

September 2, 2008

it is called chrome and i am not sold.

even though google has a solid reputation for introducing new applications that become a daily use for people all over the world, i am not happy about a new browser.

i will most likely be singing a different tune once i have experience it.

as a web designer, the more browsers available equals the more work you have to put into tweaking your code for compatibility. i just hope google doesn’t get creative. anything but internet exploder i guess.

you can read more about it here. if you have a pc you can try out a beta. macs have to wait. i thought it was funny that the video they embedded to showcase it was unavailable.

Hmmm, they could have done something amazing, like made a browser that totally changed the way we use our desktop, but I don’t think they did. The dynamic tabs are cool. Otherwise it looks like just another browser, not a revolution.
