farewell tyler stenson

my good friend tyler stenson is having his last pdx appearance this friday at the aladdin thatre. i have known this guy for close to a decade now and he has continually surprised me with how talented he is. he signed up twice to compete for portland’s singer song writer of the year and he won it twice. he has at least half a dozen albums and has been consistently playing out for the last 7+ years. [tyler, feel free to correct my stats]

tyler is moving to nashville, tennessee since it only seems to make sense. he already has paved a bright future over there and i speak for all those that have heard his music – we will miss him.

i have had some of my best times at his shows. so, if you are not doing anything, then come this friday – and if you are doing something, then cancel it and come this friday.

I have heard of him. And I’m trying to remember… I may have seen him once at a show at Wonder Ballroom that had like a dozen singer-songwriters, some local. I can’t remember if he was one of them, but I know for a fact that I have heard of him. I love singer-songwriters, and I’m listening to his music now and really liking it. I might be there.
