cool as ice

May 28, 2010

i watch vanilla ice in cool as ice last weekend. while he is a dork in this movie, the music and dancing is effin’ rad.

go ahead and make fun of me. but can you name 3 dance moves that came out of the 2000′s? vanilla ice could move without a doubt.

here is the opening scene to the flick. so dope:

who could forget vanilla ice and mc hammer break dancing?

tite!

Did Wes Anderson steal the typography he uses for his credits from “Cold As Ice”? It sure looks like it.

Naomi Campbell is singing in the opening. Huge Super model when this movie came out. Totally forgot she tried to have a music career… maybe she was colder then ice

that didn’t look like mc hammer or vanilla ice in the breakdance battle. If it was, vanilla ice kicked a**.

I was about 10 when these guys were big and I wanted to dance like them. I can still do the running man.

umm the cabbage patch, the ed lover dance, the dolphin and his signature the running? yeah! I win!! what do I get?

Michele, you are the winner! Well, kinda. The point I was trying to make was that the 90′s had crazy dance moves. Especially named ones. The 2000′s had jack shit. Or at least I can’t think of a dance move that came out in the 2000′s. Other than Crunk I guess.
