My name is Benjamin Cavanagh Diggles.

I am the web director + co-founder of db clay. I am 27, married + living in Portland Oregon. I don't have many reasons for keeping this blog. I love to talk about emerging web culture + how retarded the media is but mostly it consists of stuff that makes me smile.

I fear neckties + 2012 + I have mild OCD but I will always post, so please come back if you are interested in a little thing called fun. Feel free to leave a comment + not be an asshole. Chill, none of this means anything.
contact me if you want to.

About Me

db clay Version 3.1

db clay website

i have been working on this project for a fuggin’ really long time. yes, i know i launch a lot of websites, but this one is special. i worked with my favorite programmer on the planet david frey - he handled the back-end and i handled the front-end. sounds nasty eh?!?

db clay has officially switched over to the rails platform which is why this was a big launch for us. we still have a long way to go with the back-end stuff but holy hell our new system is slick.

db clay slow bugs

also, i designed one of the wallets in the new collection. it is called slow bugs and it consists of dead bugs that i collected in our studio over a 9 month span. the reason it is called slow bugs is because all the bugs that made their way into our studio ended up moving really slow. like a fly would be on my desk and instead of it flying off when i tried to grab it, it would simply crawl to it’s death. we had the air checked out of concern for our health. and for all you animal loving freaks out there - i didn’t kill any of these bugs. they all had natural slow deaths.

check out the new site if you have a moment! - tell your seven thousand friends about it too.

oh yeah, and i am getting married this friday. zoinks!

Congrats on the completion of the new dbclay site. It’s like an orgasm for my eyes.

I am confused. a crab… in the office… Did db move mysteriously closer to the ocean… or a sea port?

Congrats on this site. I’m impressed as hell.

What’s with the crab? I strongly advise you don’t do any version of “take your pet to work day”.

And congrats on this weekend’s nuptials! We’d better hear about it when you’re back. I assume you’re taking a honey moon somewhere???

Looks good! I have been wanting to buy a wallet from you but I am an idiot when it comes to wallets. I use one of those 2 sided things that doesn’t fold because I like to have something small to put in my front pocket…. so yeah. I am screwed.
