About Me

the social community battle lives on!

Spokeo

yes. this one claims to be bigger, better, faster, stronger.

it apparently incorporates all of the othersocial communities into one using the delightful power of aggregation.

i am not promoting this as much as i am trying to showcase the ugly reality that there are TOO MANY SOCIAL NETWORKS! and yes, each of them boast how they are different. and here is my frustration with these goofy 2.0 n00bs - they don’t really explain clearly how it works. if you click learn on the spokeo website they give you 4 quick bullets of how it works

  • import your friends
  • see what they’re up to
  • find more friends
  • control your privacy

um. ok, so it still doesn’t outline how it works and the prerequisite is that you have to belong to a social community and you have to have friends. bummer.

i think the section that shows what communities are supported is a true sign of how things have gone wack attack.

Spokeo Examples

although unrealistic for most, my suggestion is to get your own domain and control your own content. the new wordpress 2.5 imo is a great start!

i have no idea where things are headed, but there are certainly no parameters.

Thank God I’m not the only one who feels this way!! Too many social networks and yeah, I don’t get what most of them do even by visiting their sites.

+ Some Random Images +

This is a bunch of random images. I have plans for this box to feature certain topics later on. The first being abandoned buildings.

For now, it is a string of older pics.
